Exact Technology Ltd
Ensuring long term client competitiveness by delivering custom built machines
Exact Technology and their predecessors have used over 1000
NEE control systems since their first order in 1978. Exact Technology machines are sold and supported
throughout the world.
Their first machine was a ruling machine used by the carton industry. This XY machine drew accurate
straight lines, automating engineering drawing processes. Exact Technology can now supply single and
multi head ‘high performance’ flat bed machines for cutting, creasing, plotting, and printing. The cutting
and creasing heads are controlled by configuring one or more of the AMC axes to operate as automatic
tangential axes. Exact machines are supplied which use servo motors, stepper motors and combinations
of both.
NEE design and manufacture machine controllers to precisely suit Exact's needs, current controllers are
based on NEE’s multi-axis AMC’s.
Exact Technology machines can also be supplied which automatically load and unload material using the AMC
integrated Programmable Logic Control ‘PLC’. AMC inputs and outputs are used to automatically control
and monitor machine auxiliary functions. These are performed using macro PLC sequences, which are defined
by Exact using an NEE 'Event Subroutine Editor', then transferred and permanently stored in the AMC’s
flash memory. The macros are automatically executed as the respective events are encountered during
machine operation.
The requirements of Exact’s customers and the applications which use their machines, continually expand.
NEE’s product development engineers are able to enhance our products to meet these requirements.
Exact, as part of their business processes, continually evaluate their purchasing options looking for
more competitive or higher performance machine controllers from other suppliers. They have not been able
to find any which can provide the performance their flexible machines need nor any which are less expensive.
