The ‘table top’ high precision and high performance SPRINT machine is designed to perform 2.5
and 3D operations. It can be used for engraving, milling, mould making, jewellery manufacture, and routing.
For rigidity and precision the sprint employs a fixed rigid gantry and servo driven ball screws on the
X and Y axes. The machine is constructed from rigid, machined, lightweight aluminum components; it uses
linear rails, and has covered slideways. A ‘T’ slot work table is supplied. Fixed, precise machine home
sensors are used to give an accurate and repeatable home position.
Maximum traverse speed is 350 inches per minute, maximum machining speed 250 inches per minute, system
resolution is 0.000016 inches
The SPRINT has a small footprint, achieved in part by using toothed belt drives on the X and Y axes,
motors do not project beyond the machine base.
Sprint machines are available with 12 x 12 x 6 inch, 12 x 24 x 6 inch or 24 x 24 x 6 inch travels.
